Carlee Ragsdale Adolfae

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and their families to navigate life's challenges and help them become the best versions of themselves. Families may feel that the things they have tried are not working, and I look to partner with them to support their child. I believe that all people have an inner template for healing, and so my approach to therapy is often non-directive; however, I tailor interventions to meet each client’s individual needs so that the children and adolescents I work with feel comfortable and successful in the therapeutic process.

As a LSWAIC and LMHCA, I am best suited to help youth experiencing attachment issues, separation anxiety, anxiety, depression and adolescent transitional issues. I also work with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD or other neurodivergence. As a former expatriate, I am uniquely able to work with Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or families experiencing repatriation stressors.

I take a Person Centered Approach to counseling, and believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to the healing process. I believe first and foremost that all individuals have inherent worth and dignity. While my approach to counseling is integrated, I specialize in Child Centered Play Therapy and Sandplay/sand tray.
